Rain Rain Go Away

Each and every day Floridians can hear themselves say "it's that time of year." Indeed it is, the rainy season is upon us and we were once again effected by the H2O yesterday. After an 8 game road trip (5-3) and 9 days away from Holman, the first of three against the Cardinals was washed away thanks to mother nature.

Strong storms and heavy downpours fell in Vero Beach pushing game one back a day and creating a double header. First pitch is scheduled for 5pm and yes you can hear both games on the Devil Rays radio network.

Chuck Tiffany is scheduled to make a start today and it should be interesting to see if the fellas have the hot bats swinging here at home. 61 hits in the first 6 games of the 8 game road trip and one man in particular has really picked things up and I'm talking about Ryan Royster. Although no home runs lately, Royster has swung an extremely hot bat. Nearly .400 over his last 9 games which is a much welcomed site to the already powerful lineup.

Fourth of July comes early tomorrow night as the Devil Rays conclude their series against the Palm Beach Cardinals with a firework spectacular following the ball game.
