For the second time this year the Vero Beach Devil Rays are on the wrong side of a ten game streak. The Devil Rays were shut out for the second time in their last 4 games, tonight at the hands of the St. Lucie Mets 6-0.
The Mets scored two in the third, one in the fourth and three more in the 8th.
The same two teams get together tomorrow night for a 6 o'clock first pitch with the Bud Light pre game show starting at 5:45. You can hear the game on the Devil Rays radio network. Oh by the way, come early with a hunger and participate in the wing contest. Some of the areas top restaurants will compete to be the 2008 wing champion. That will get underway at 4pm.
Shawn Marette, co-general manager of the ball club is pitching a tent on the field as we speak. Until the Devil Rays get into the win column, Shawn will be camping out on the field. Not to mention he will be in the dunk tank tomorrow during wing night.
